Jay Murthy - Consultant

Jay, from a young age always had a keen interest in cars, after graduating from Kings University, he joined a well known local Ford main dealer in 2002, and quickly enjoyed success selling new, used and commercial Ford motor vehicles.

After three very successful years with SMC Motor Group and with his fathers memories of his beloved Audi Quattro in his mind Jay approached Lind Audi in 2005 with a view to join their well established sales operation. Within weeks Jay was a welcome addition to their team and very quickly became a hard working, popular person at Maidstone Audi. Jay specialised in Motability sales at Audi and also has keen understanding of vehicle financing, including PCP programmes.

Thankfully we managed to persuade Jay to join Oakwood’s in July 2009 and leave his beloved Audi job, clearly, the attraction of selling a mixture of used vehicles from a portakabin on a grotty farm got the better of him!! Seriously, Jay was taken by our more informal, but still professional approach to used car retailing, the variety of vehicles and not having to work Sundays! Jay also reinforces Oakwoods commitment to customer satisfaction having been recognised for delivering excellent customer service with both Ford and Audi.

Originally from the Isle of Sheppey, Jay now lives, just 10 minutes from Oakwoods, in Maidstone with his wife. A fan of Japanese rally cars and an owner of a rare Nissan GTi-R track car (He has a picture of it on his office coffee mug!!) Nigel and Jay can often be heard talking about tuning Japanese cars, much to Adrian’s annoyance!! Other interests include football, cricket and badminton.
